WHO IS AN eRIDER?

eRiders are roving technology consultants. We are Computer Experts, Trainers and Management Consultants as well as a Communication Strategists all wrapped up as one.

We are referred to as process consultants by virtue of our approach of ‘taking one through the process of,’ as opposed to ‘doing for’ by the conventional consultant, when it comes to problem solving.

Guided by values and ethics the eRiders perform their duties on a one to one basis with NGOs by assisting each one to develop and implement ICT strategies tailored to its unique aims, needs and context.

WHY eRIDING?

Also known as ‘circuit riding’ in the US, plays an important role in the developing world by using eRiders to assist organisations use resources more efficiently to better serve their missions and achieve their objectives as well as spreading technological knowledge to areas where it is needed most. The primary aim of eRiding is to assist the organisation.

 NGOCC
Project Host Organisation.
Established by a few Zambian women NGOs in 1985, about 20 years ago, NGOCC works to facilitate networking; nationally and internationally for the women's movement.

 Rescue Mission Zambia
Project management Organisation.
Rescue Mission Zambia (RMZ) is a youth-initiated, youth-led and youth-oriented non-government organization that works to empower children and youth, especially those in rural areas or disadvantaged and venerable youth in urban areas.

OSISA
Project funding Organisation.
OSISA is a non-profit foundation established in 1997 by investor and philanthropist George Soros. OSISA oversees US$5 million in grants annually in Southern Africa. Support is offered for projects that are both national and regional in scope.

Ungana-Afrika
Project Promoter.
Ungana-Afrika is a South Africa based non-profit organisation that provides technology support, and helps others initiate technology support programs, within the development community of Southern Africa. Their objective is a community of non-profit organisations within Southern Africa that have access to the technology and know-how necessary to better accomplish their goals.
